Dr. Jimmy LeDuc is an Education Designer who supports the Lab’s Community College Growth Engine Fund.
Jimmy started as an actor and director as a child and moved into teaching theater through an arts in the schools program through the Memphis Arts Council in Memphis, Tenn.
Prior to joining the Lab, Jimmy most recently served as Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences at Monroe County Community College in Michigan, overseeing multiple disciplines across the division. He has also served as a theater faculty member at Saint Paul College in Minnesota while coordinating their Community-Based Learning program connecting with community partners and leaders. During this time, he also served as an Assessment Coach and worked on assessment and program review for the college. Jimmy also served on the college’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee and worked as an equity trainer for the campus.
Jimmy has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, a Master of Fine Arts in Drama focusing on Directing, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership. His dissertation focused on the effects of creativity in improving overall course success rates in STEM areas focusing on the benefits of STEAM education.
Outside the Lab, Jimmy’s interests include theater, soccer, reading, walking, cooking, and traveling when he can.
