Joseph Davis

Senior Education Designer

Joseph Davis is a Senior Education Designer working with the Community College Growth Engine. He provides community colleges the tools, time, and space to understand and address the needs of employers and (l)earners in their local ecosystem. Assist colleges in developing micro-pathways to create talent pipelines for high-growth careers and developing a culture of  responsiveness to current trends as well as emerging opportunities.  

Prior to joining the Lab, Joe spent six years as the Employment and Training Programs Supervisor with Yates County, NY. In that time he oversaw all aspects of Workforce Development including WIOA, SNAP E&T, and TANF programs. Additionally, Joe spent two years as the co-chair of the Finger Lakes Workforce Consortium and as the One Stop Operator in the Finger Lakes Region. He also spent six years as a Labor Services Representative with the NYS Department of Labor and six months as the Assessment Coordinator/H1B Grant Manager for the Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board.

Joseph is excited about the Lab’s innovative approach to align workforce ecosystems in order to better serve local employers and (l)earners. The Lab’s strength-based approach towards continuous improvement and sustainable change in workforce development, also aligns with Joe’s passions.
