Mariza June Avila joins the Lab as the Associate Designer for Visual Design + Impact, designing graphics for internal projects and external communications.

Prior to joining the Lab, Mariza interned at design studios and non-profits in the DC-metropolitan area, where she gained an understanding of the role of visual communication within various business models. As the child of an immigrant family, Mariza is passionate about contributing to the Lab’s mission of creating accessible options to education and designing equitable infrastructure to validate skills of career-changers.
