Based in Portland, Ore., and working for the state of Washington, Michael is the Director for Educational Resources and Innovation at the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. He leads efforts to enhance educational technologies and learning resources across the state’s community and technical colleges.
Holding a master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a doctorate in Curriculum Instruction and Design from Texas Tech University, Michael’s expertise extends to incorporating social and racial equity in educational practices. This commitment is central to his approach, ensuring that technology is used in an innovative way to improve the educational experiences of students often marginalized in critical conversations.
