Ivy Tech Community College

Dr. Stacy Townsley serves as Vice President for Adult Strategy and Statewide Partnerships at Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana. In this role, Townsley helps develop and lead strategic statewide initiatives to support adult learner success through cross-sector partnerships, with a particular focus on working with employers, community- and faith-based organizations, and government agencies. Prior to joining Ivy Tech in 2017, Townsley was Associate Commissioner for Research and Analysis at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, where she oversaw data collection and reporting. Previous roles in higher education include academic administration and serving as an adjunct faculty member working with adult learners. Her academic and professional interests center on supporting effective cross-sector collaboration, and she is actively involved with the Indiana Talent Network. Townsley earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Systems from Saybrook University in 2014, and is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Tulsa.

The Education Design Lab’s Designers in Residence program is an 11-month opportunity for leaders to collaborate with the Lab in co-creating the future role of colleges in their communities.

The 2021 cohort will bring together a design team of 12 visionary thinkers and doers from postsecondary institutions to evolve and strengthen the role of colleges to be regional change agents to close economic and racial opportunity gaps.
