Suzanne Gibbs Howard is an entrepreneur, design strategist, and expert in digital learning. She advises and partners with early-stage ventures and organizations in times of change. Suzanne developed her approach as a partner in the international design firm IDEO, where she founded and served as dean of IDEO U, the incredibly impactful digital learning platform. Prior to IDEO U, Suzanne was the managing director of IDEO’s Systems and Organizational Change Studio and also grew IDEO’s design strategy capability globally.
Suzanne started her career as a cultural anthropologist working across tech startups in Silicon Valley. Her passion is to catalyze bold change by unlocking others through education, empathy, and insight. Suzanne has innovated across public, private, and social sectors with clients including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Ford, P&G, York University, Apollo Group, and Google. Her work has been published in Inc Magazine, Fast Company, Quartz at Work, and Rotman Magazine. She serves on the design team and teaches at the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Program. One of her favorite activities is hosting the acclaimed podcast, the Creative Confidence Series.
Outside of work, Suzanne is a passionate traveler, climber, sailor, and mom.
