Careers + How to Get Involved at the Lab
We believe that by working on the ground with learners, institutions, and employers across the learn-to-work ecosystem, we can build a more relevant, accessible, portable, and visible education system for learners. We are committed to equity and to co-creating a more just and equitable education system. Join our team in building education for the future of work.
CUNY Innovation Coach, Community College Growth Engine Fund
As part of the national Community College Growth Engine Fund initiative (CCGEF), the Education Design Lab is leading a system-wide micro-pathway initiative with the City University of New York. Six community colleges located throughout the boroughs of New York City will co-design with employers, policy experts, high schools, community-based organizations, and other ecosystem partners in developing employer-validated micro-pathways to be adopted across the entire CUNY system. CCGEF-CUNY will accelerate institutional change and build in critical resources to drive education-to-workforce ecosystem collaboration, powering student access to greater social and economic mobility – especially at a time where New Yorkers and the city need it the most.Learn More + How to Apply Learn More About the Community College Growth Engine Fund
Senior Education Designer, Community College Growth Engine Fund
We’re seeking a Senior Education Designer to lead the Fund’s on-the-ground work around the country testing “micro-pathways” as a cutting edge higher education model to improve outcomes for “new majority learners.” These are the growing majority of learners for whom college was not designed, including first-in-family college attendees, lower-income and underpaid working adults, single parents, students of color, and English-language learners.
At a critical moment in the national conversation about workforce development and the role of community colleges, you will work directly with a dozen of the most innovative institutions around the country to support the development and implementation of 18 micro-pathways that can be national models.Learn More + How to Apply Learn More About the Community College Growth Engine Fund
