Are you looking for new ways to determine the skills of your workforce or students? The Lab and partners in our Skills Validation Network will share our learnings during an Innovation in Skills Validation virtual event.
What
A one-hour, showcase and discussion, where the Lab will share insights from the development of three innovative skills validation prototypes and help you find ways to connect our learnings with your own skills validation efforts.
The prototypes include:
- Skills Story: Enables people to discover their skills by sharing their experiences, activities, and interests.
- Skills Quest: Provides people with an interactive virtual space to demonstrate their skills in a group setting.
- Gig Translator: Enables gig workers to translate their experience into validated, durable skills.
When
Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, 11:00 a.m. to noon ET via Zoom
Intended audience
While most of the tools were designed for STARs (learner-earners who are Skilled Through Alternative Route), employers, leaders, and educators across the skills-based ecosystem should find value in our insights.
By the end of the event, you’ll leave with:
- An understanding of where you and your organization are positioned currently in the work of skills validation.
- Three new ways to validate skills.
- Learnings from each innovative method that can be transferred into your own work.
- A clear next step for your own skills validation efforts.
Why it matters
The XCredit Skills Validation Network seeks to enable equitable opportunity for STARs through diverse, proven methods of skills validation, empowering them with valuable credentials in the skills-based economy. The network leverages the Lab’s durable skills competency framework, the XCredit ecosystem, and the network’s collective resources and expertise.
