Education Design Lab’s Dr. Rachel Kahn, who is scaling stackable micro-pathways with community colleges across the U.S., joined a panel discussion hosted by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
In this April 2026 virtual forum, Scaling Work-Force Innovation, the panel discussed how community colleges are adapting to a new environment, what promising workforce programs are being created, and what it will take to scale those. They also presented findings from a nationwide survey conducted by The Chronicle to understand where community college leaders and administrators see opportunities.
Additional panelists included Marcia J. Ballinger, Ph.D, President of Lorain County Community College, and Amanda Olmstead, Director of Workforce Alignment at Achieving the Dream.
