Why our college practitioner testers love this new Guided Pathways website

new resource: AACC's Guided Pathways

As part of our mission to build skills-based, education-to-work pathways, the Lab worked with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) to help redesign their Guided Pathways website.

One of our college practitioner testers raved: “We will definitely use this site in the future because it’s rich in resources that we need right now.”

The new site is available at www.pathwaysresources.org

WHAT IS GUIDED PATHWAYS?
Guided Pathways is a comprehensive college framework for redesigning the student experience so that students can seamlessly move from enrollment to career-readiness, and thus more easily reach the goals they have for themselves. It simplifies choices, boosts completion rates, and aligns education with job market needs.

WHAT DOES THE SITE DO?
The new pathways resources website helps community colleges initiate, sustain, and scale Guided Pathways reforms at an institution or system level.

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The pathways resources website is not a one-time tool but a living platform continually refined with feedback from the field.
  • The modular design allows colleges at different stages to “start where they are.”
  • Guided Pathways reforms directly support economic mobility and workforce readiness at scale.

A few highlights noted by our college practitioner testers:

  • The Pathways 101 section for the basics
  • How to “make the case” for Guided Pathways at your college
  • State-specific tools tailored to regional needs + priorities
  • Student voices + case studies
