This pilot will build a Single Moms Cohort that receives dedicated wrap-around support services, workforce-aligned programming, flexible online support and community building, and access to resources from community partners.
This pilot focuses on industry-aligned learn-and-earn opportunities for single mother learners to further their education and careers while financially supporting their families. They will receive holistic support through comprehensive case management, career navigation, and community building opportunities.
This pilot will include wraparound services, financial assistance, specialized coursework, and formation of a coalition for single mother learners.
Learners are often overwhelmed by the amount of information thrown at them when it comes to transfer. This program is a guided pathway utilizing peer-to-peer training that will help these learners understand where they are on their path to completion, as well as their next steps throughout their journey.
Student focus groups conducted for this project suggest that inaccurate and poorly timed information about the transfer process is a key source of student frustration. This program provides a single authoritative source for information for transfer students 24/7. It includes student services, teaching faculty, and technology.
